Why I left Bluesky and moved to the fediverse

Bluesky announced Attie, its AI custom feed site, which lets users create a feed based on their following and interests.

When Bluesky announced it was working on Attie, many people, including me, had mixed feelings about its use. Even artists disliked the idea.

After a couple of hours, I left the platform and announced the following on my fediverse account.

As I said in my announcement, the fact that you can create a feed collecting others' posts without consent is concerning because some people do not want their posts on a feed they do not feel is appropriate.

Some mutual followers on Bluesky agreed with the move and fully understood why I left. Some people loved the idea and supported it.

Jay (Past CEO of Bluesky) posted that they understand the concerns and also hate AI, but are using it for good reasons.
